Part 6 of 6: How Christians Can Live Faithfully in a Confusing Age
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury:
We have now examined the evidence. Socialism is the deliberate first stage of communism. Both systems reject God’s design for private property, voluntary generosity, the dignity of work, and the proper limits of government. History confirms that these systems produce tyranny, poverty, and mass death. The survivors continue to speak.
The remaining question is practical: How should Christians live faithfully in light of this truth?
Live by Biblical Conviction
Jesus warned His followers they would face opposition:
“Behold, I send you out as sheep among wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” (Matthew 10:16)
We are called to stand firm on Scripture rather than conform to cultural pressure. Believers are urged to measure every ideology by the Word of God. Marxism is a false gospel. It offers a wrong diagnosis of the human problem and a wrong solution.
Reject the Lies
Communism has been tried repeatedly. It has never produced the promised equality or abundance. It has consistently produced coercion, surveillance, persecution of the church, and the deaths of tens of millions. The claim that “it was never done right” or that “democratic socialism will be different” collapses under the weight of history and the clear teaching of Scripture.
Practical Steps for Faithful Living
Know the Word — Study what the Bible actually teaches about property, work, government, and generosity.
Speak the truth in love — Clearly and calmly challenge Marxist ideas when they appear in culture, education, or even the church.
Live the alternative — Practice diligent work and cheerful, voluntary generosity so that the world sees a better way.
Place your ultimate hope in Christ — Our final confidence is not in any political system but in the Kingdom of God.
“…The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of hisChrist. He will reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)
Closing Argument
Ladies and gentlemen of the jury: the evidence is clear. The Bible and communism begin at opposite points and lead to opposite ends. One affirms the dignity of human beings made in the image of God. The other crushes that dignity under the power of the state.
The survivors are still speaking. Scripture has spoken. The only question that remains is whether we will listen — and whether we will live accordingly.
